All the protagonists of the material lifting, work at height, industrial and port handling and heavy transport world will be present at the 9th edition of the GIS show, scheduled in Piacenza from 5 to 7 October 2023.

Around six months before its inauguration, there is already a boom in registrations for GIS, the Italian Lifting and Specialized Transport exhibition, whose 9th edition will be held from 5 to 7 October 2023 in Piacenza. In fact, over 400 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation in this event which relies on the support of over 50 Italian and foreign trade associations.

Innovation, comparison, synergy. These are the keywords that have always characterized GIS, the Italian Lifting and Specialized Transport exhibition. Founded in 2009, GIS has now become the biggest European event dedicated to the above sector, the ideal showcase for the preview presentation of new proposals and technological innovations in the material lifting, work at height, industrial and port handling and heavy transport world. This is also demonstrated by the 15,000 square meters of indoor area and 35,000 outdoors, spaces to which additional exhibition areas will be added, in order to satisfy the growing demand from both Italian and foreign companies.

In fact, GIS represents the ideal environment for creating synergies between the protagonists of one of the most dynamic sectors in the Country. The importance of the event organized by Mediapoint & Exhibitions srl is testified by the presence, among the others, of the main trade associations, such as the ANFIA - the Italian Association of the Automotive Industry, AISEM - the Italian Association of Lifting, Elevating and Handling Systems, ASSOLOGISTICA - the Italian Logistics Association, ANNA - the Italian Association of mobile crane rental companies and CONFETRA - the Italian General Confederation of Transport and Logistics. It’s no coincidence that GIS also boasts the patronage of public institutions such as the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, the Emilia Romagna Region, the Liguria Region and the Municipality of Piacenza.

GIS 2023 has always been a meeting point for all the protagonists of the supply chain, called this year to deal more than ever with the many challenges of the sector: from the ecological transition to energy costs. Last but not least, the “Epdb”- Energy Performance of Buildings Directive on “Green Homes” just approved by the European Parliament.

It is no coincidence that the trade associations (both Italian and foreign) and the representative bodies of each segment of the lifting and transport sectors will be the protagonists of the busy calendar of conferences, workshops, seminars currently being defined.

Also for the 2023 edition, the collateral events ITALA-Italian Terminal and Logistic Awards, ITALPLATFORM-Italian Access Platform Awards and ILTA-Italian Lifting & Transportation Awards will be re-proposed, as well as the evening event GIS by NIGHT which will take place in the evening on Friday 6 October in the Piacenza Expo exhibition centre.
